Interior of a repurposed church with antique shop items. Stained glass windows, wooden shelves, and vintage furniture create a nostalgic vibe.

Capel Gwyn Antiques & Collectibles will formally open its doors on Saturday, March 29th, at 10 a.m., in Gull Lake.

The business, located at 3375 Rutland Ave in the former Anglican church, promises to delight visitors with a selected assortment of antiques and collectibles. It is conveniently located just off Highway 1. The new initiative intends to entice longtime Marketplace consumers, as well as neighbors and friends from near and far.

Carl and Charlene Blackwell, former Gull Lake residents, have realized their ambition with Capel Gwyn Antiques & Collectibles. Returning to the town with their business seems like a homecoming for the couple, who are excited to reconnect with old friends and neighbors while also welcoming newcomers.

The Blackwells expressed their sincere appreciation in a Facebook post, acknowledging key supporters such as the Town of Gull Lake staff and council, Sheila Peters, and the Diocese of Qu’Appelle, for their role in making their vision a reality.

Be certain to stop by next Saturday to discover the treasures that await you. Stay tuned for updates and sneak peeks, and be sure to visit their Facebook page for the most recent announcements and previews.
