We have another colouring contest this month! There are three different Valentine’s Day pictures to choose from and we have several prizes available! Please have them returned to the library by February 11th!
Another contest at the library will be going until the end of the year. “52 Books in 52 Weeks” contest for adults and children. It isn’t a particular list of certain books that must be read, but books that fit certain categories! It will be lots of fun and there’s still time to come get the forms!
Its wintertime in Saskatchewan and an excellent boredom buster is doing jigsaw puzzles. Did you know we have a puzzle exchange here at the library? We started with one puzzle and we now have around 20 puzzles available to choose from. There are children’s puzzles, 350, 500, and 1000-piece puzzles to choose from. We are accepting donations of puzzles (and books and DVDs)!
We have subscriptions to some new magazines this year! These are our current subscriptions: Better Homes & Gardens, Best Health, Canada’s History, Canadian Geographic, Canadian Living, Food Network, The Gardener, Good Housekeeping, HGTV, Legion, Maclean’s, O The Oprah Winfrey Magazine, Our Canada, Owl, The Pioneer Woman, Quiltmaker, Style @ Home, Woman’s Day and Zoomer.
Our Regional Children’s Programmer, Tekeyla, has been busy sending craft kits to our branch. Currently we have a melting snowman and a Valentine’s craft available for pick-up!
We will be having another quilt raffle late-winter or early-spring! Stay tuned for more information.
