The Gull Lake Town Council had its regular meeting on October 9, 2024, in the Town Council Chambers. Mayor Lance Allen called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. with all council members and the administrator present.
Key Highlights:
Delegations: Aaron Tait from Millenium Land discussed the Whitecap AOR and left the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
Minutes Approval: The minutes from the September 25, 2024, meeting were approved.
Accounts: Payments totaling $97,292.02 were approved.
Staff Reports: Written reports from the Recreation Director and Bylaw Enforcement were reviewed.
Committee Reports: Updates were provided by Mayor Allen and Councillor Migneault on various committees.
New Business:
Mayor Allen declared a conflict of interest on one issue and temporarily departed the meeting.
Authorization was given to sign the Reclamation Feedback Form for several locations.
Approval was granted for 2024 Sport, Culture, and Recreation grants totaling $9,822.00.
A proposed commercial subdivision in the R.M. of Gull Lake was approved.
MuniCode Services Ltd. was appointed as the Town of Gull Lake Building Officials.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Town of Cabri and the Village of Hazlet to explore the possibility of a regional water system.
Kevin Whyte was appointed as an Officer to Eliminate Pests.
An Environmental Site Assessment Access Agreement with SaskPower was authorized.
The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
