The Provincial Government has awarded 1.3 Million dollars in Charitable Gaming Grants. The grants are 25 percent of the net proceeds that were raised from local fundraisers such as bingos, raffles, 50/50 tickets, etc. In the press release from the Saskatchewan Government Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority Jim Reiter said, “Our government is pleased to support the volunteers of our province who continue to make a difference in their communities...”.
According to the Charitable Gaming Grants Paid by Community, Gull Lake received a total of $822.00. The grants were given to the following local organizations:
Gull Lake Athletics Association - Pee Wee Cyclones $ 67.50
Gull Lake Association Initiation $ 90.00
Gull Lake Curling Club $ 665.00
