During the most recent quarter, charity gaming grants of about $1.16 million were distributed to over 750 Saskatchewan charities and organizations. Several community organizations were beneficiaries of the SLGA's charitable gaming funding.
The charitable gaming grants totaled $3,836.52 for Gull Lake clubs and organizations. Grants were awarded to the local groups listed below:
Gull Lake Athletics Association – $2,013.76
Gull Lake Athletics Association Atom-Kirwan Team $358.75
Gull Lake Curling Club $872.50
Gull Lake Skating Club, $591.51.
A portion of the total proceeds from authorized charitable gaming activities, such as bingo, raffles, breakopen tickets, Texas Hold'em poker, and Monte Carlo events, are used to support the grants.
