
The North Battleford RCMP's Provincial General Investigation Section (GIS) has laid sixty-four charges against three people in connection with a Landis bank robbery on November 22, 2024, as well as a series of ATM thefts and attempted thefts around South and Central Saskatchewan, including Gull Lake. These incidents occurred from November 22, 2024, to January 1, 2025.
The investigation, led by the RCMP Provincial GIS, involved substantial collaboration across numerous detachments, police units, and Crime Stoppers, linking incidents in the communities listed below:
• Dodsland
• Rosetown
• Gull Lake
• Lemberg
• Wolseley
• Craven
• Neilburg
• Marshall
• Battleford
• Purdue
• Mosquito, Grizzly Bear's Head, and Lean Man First Nation.
Sgt. Adam Buckingham underlined the need for collaboration in addressing these challenging situations. A search warrant issued in Biggar resulted in the arrest of Sheena Benoit and Joshua Meszaros, with further investigation leading to accusations against Jeremy Seery.
Sheena Benoit (aka Sheena Harrabek) faces sixteen charges, including:
• Three charges of break-in and committing a crime (Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code).
• One count of stealing exceeding $5,000 (Section 334(a), Criminal Code).
• Six counts of stealing under $5,000 (Section 334(b), Criminal Code).
• Six counts of malicious damage to property valued over $5000 (Section 430(3), Criminal Code).
Joshua Meszaros faces twenty-four charges, which include:
• Three charges of break-in and committing a crime.
• One count of breaking and entering with the purpose to commit an offense ).
• Seven charges of disguising with intent to commit an offense.
• One count of stealing exceeding $5,000.
• Six counts of stealing under $5,000.
• Five charges of mischief/damage to property of a value over $5,000.
• One count of mischief/damage to property valued under $5000.
Jeremy Seery is facing twenty-four charges, which include:
• One charge of breaking and entering and committing an offense.
• Two charges of breaking and entering with the intent to commit an offense.
• One count of robbery with other offensive weapon.
• Seven charges of disguising with intent to commit an offense.
• One count of stealing exceeding $5,000.
• Six counts of stealing under $5,000.
• Six counts of mischief/damage to property valued over $5000.
All three are set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court in April 2025.
