The much-anticipated yearly Ladies Bonspiel took place this past weekend at the Gull Lake Curling Rink with 14 teams. Participants enjoyed a weekend of great matches, friendship, and laughing. The organizers expressed their gratitude for the spirited competition, with a spokesperson stating on the Gull Lake Curling Club's Facebook page:
'Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the teams who came out for another successful lady’s bonspiel.'"
Shelley and Kevin were important to the success of the event. Shelley ran the booth all weekend, and Kevin made sure that the ice was prepped for every game—efforts that did not go unnoticed.
Local businesses made generous contributions to the celebration, and the event's experience was enhanced by the donated prizes.
