The Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council and the Ministry of Environment have joined forces to spread the word that everyone in the province should do their part to limit the amount of trash that gets dumped in landfills over the winter holidays.
On the Saskatchewan Environment Facebook page, the Ministry of the Environment shares tips for decorating, giving gifts, wrapping gifts, and cleaning up after the holidays with little or no waste. Through recycling and composting, residents may significantly cut down on garbage.
For further information and advice about recycling and composting see the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council website.
