Parent rates for Saskatchewan's regulated child care will drop to $10 per day as of April 1, 2023, thanks to an announcement from the governments of Saskatchewan and Canada. Families will be able to save an average of $395 to $573 per month for each child under the age of six.
This is a three-year head start on the original plan. Saskatchewan has 19,790 licensed child care places available, with support from provincial and federal governments in the form of grants, wage increases, and educational opportunities.
