In today's digital world, it is critical to use caution when using social media and other online platforms. There has been a recent increase in fake advertisements for online versions of physical casinos in Saskatchewan, including Dakota Dunes Casino and Casino Regina. These advertisements are scams aimed at obtaining your credit card details and other banking information.

No Legitimate Online Versions

Steve Tunison, Vice President of Gaming at Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS), says there are no legitimate online versions of the land-based casinos in Saskatchewan. "People who see these types of ads on their social media channels are strongly advised not to click on them," Tunison said. PlayNow.com is only legal online gaming platform in the province, providing a safe and secure environment for online gambling.

Report Fake Ads

Should you encounter any of these fraudulent advertisements, it is crucial to report them promptly to the online platform where they were found, like Facebook. Scam advertisements continue to pose a significant challenge for land-based casinos throughout North America, including Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw, as well as those managed by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA). These scammers unlawfully utilize the logos, images, and branding of these casinos, taken from the casinos' websites, to produce the fraudulent advertisements.

Protect Your Personal Information

Saskatchewan residents should always exercise caution regarding social media and various online offers. Protect your credit card, banking, and other personal information with great care. By remaining aware and attentive, you can assist in safeguarding yourself and others from becoming targets of these scams.
