Last week, Gull Lake residents received their 2021 tax notices. The mill rate factor remained unchanged from last year, and a 2.5% increase to the Base Tax was approved. The Infrastructure Base Tax used to pave streets also remained unchanged from last year.
Typically, Infrastructure Base Tax Funds are used to pave streets every two years, and this year normally would have been a paving year. Town Council did not seek paving tenders for 2021, so there will be no street paving this year. The Town did approve paving portions of the Kiaskus Trail, and that project will be completed next year.
