At the regular council meeting held on June 9, 2021, Town Council approved the purchase of an RY10 Elite Crackfill Applicator. The machine is used to seal cracks found on paved streets. Crack filling extends the life of streets and needs to be part of a pavement maintenance program. Crack filling will work best for streets that have been paved in the past 10 years. Many of our older streets have multiple cracks and require resurfacing.
Below is the motion that was made at the meeting regarding the purchase of the Crackfill Applicator:
Migneault/ Gibson: THAT we approve the quote submitted by Action Seal Canada for a RY10 Elite Crackfill Applicator at a cost of $2,469.00 plus Applicator taxes. CARRIED
So far this year Town Council has approved the paving of portions of the Kiaskus Trail at a cost of $344,000. A grant obtained by the town will reduce the towns cost to $91,745.
