Yesterday Gull Lake had a visit from former Saskatchewan Wanderer Ashlyn George. Ashlyn is a travel blogger with over 70,000 social followers across various social media platforms. Her blog, "The Lost Girl's Guide to Finding the World" highlights adventures she has made traveling the world visiting 43 countries across 6 continents.
Her visit to Gull Lake included stops at the Grainery Bakery, Mount Everest restaurant, and Kinette Corner Mini Golf. Ashlyn also toured the Little Green on the Prairie Park, Kiaskus Walking Trail, and downtown heritage tour using the Tripvia Tours app. You can read more about Ashlyn's stop in Gull Lake below.
Ashylyn's stop in Gull Lake was made possible thanks to the efforts of the Economic Development Officers for the communities of Eastend, Frontier, Gull Lake, Hazlet, Maple Creek and Shaunavon. The group applied for a Tourism Saskatchewan Marketing & Event Partnership Program that made the visit possible.
Communities in Southwest Saskatchewan have a lot great things for tourists to see and do. Thanks to efforts of the Economic Development Officers, Southwest Saskatchewan was able to bring Ashylyn to showcase our communities. Big thanks to Ashlyn for visiting Gull Lake and touring our community!
